Caring for your Powder Coated Frames:
To clean your powder coated furniture it is recommended to use clean cool or lukewarm water with slight additives of neutral washing agents. To scrub down the furniture, use non-abrasive soft cloths, rags or industrial cotton. To specifically get off greasy, oily or sooty substances that were unable to be cleaned off with the previous procedure, the best cleaner to use is ‘white spirit’ which can be found at major hardware outlets. After cleaning, rinse down the furniture with cold, clean water.
Caring for your Stone Table Tops:
Natural stone is very versatile, scratch resistant, heat resistant, and suitable for your outdoor areas. As with any material it is not impervious to the effects of harsh Australian conditions. UV radiation can be a source of‘weathering’over time. Darker coloured stones are naturally more noticeable. Stones are porous materials. Water and other liquids will soak into these pores and this may lead tostaining or a weathering process, where the minerals in the stone can be eroded or degradation mayoccur. This weathering process may also be accelerated by scratching or scraping on the stone surface. Some of the stones can be susceptible to marking due to acidic household items, foods or cleaningagents. To keep stone stable tops in good condition, it is recommended that they be cleaned after each use with a damp cloth to remove any surface contaminants. If a cleaner is used it is recommended to use a neutral pH cleaner; acidic or alkaline cleaners can causefading, etching or damage to the stone surface. A sealer (such as Crommelin Stain Guard) can be applied to the stone surface to reduce waterabsorption and repel any items or liquids that may cause wear and tear to the surface of the table.
